Fact of the Month
There has been a growing amount of attention recently on the issues of time to degree and college completion rates. Students' ability to complete their degree programs is critical to expanding employment options and ensuring their ability to repay college debt. Doing so in a timely fashion and on schedule is one of the keys to making college affordable. According to 2004 data compiled by the Education Trust and reported by the Indiana Pathways to College Network, only 16 of the 42 four-year college and university campuses in Indiana posted 6-year graduation rates of 60% or higher. Of those 16, roughly only half graduated 60% or more of their students within 4 years.
