The National Center for College Costs routinely conducts anonymous surveys with students who participate in our programs. These data are used to help inform future workshops, to ensure we maximize student engagement in the college planning process.
Through a series of student surveys, we collected the following data, which represent an aggregation of several different NCCC programming modules:
- More than 80 percent of the students agreed that the NCCC workshops helped them see, "that people like me go to college."
- When asked if the workshops have improved their understanding of why they need to plan and prepare for high school and college, nearly 85 percent of the students either agreed or strongly agreed.
- Approximately 83 percent of the students agreed that the workshops demonstrated that there are more ways to pay for college than previously thought.
- In planning for college and beyond, 82 percent of the students agreed that the workshops taught them that there is a strong correlation between a person’s education level and the job options available later in life.
- Nearly 85 percent of the students agreed that they are more confident about how to go about the college application process as a result of the National Center for College Costs’ workshops.
