Reminder, Indiana FAFSA Filers!

The state of Indiana has stayed with last year’s revised FAFSA filing deadline of April 15, in this year’s case, April 15,  2018. And yes, you must provide 2016 tax information, not 2017. (You can ask a financial aid director to make a “professional judgment” to perhaps change your financial aid award if things like a parent’s marital status, decreased 2017 parental income, etc. have taken place since 2016.) But be careful, the state of Indiana may be willing to wait until April 15, 2018 to receive your FAFSA results, but few if any colleges will! Be sure you are meeting priority FAFSA filing dates for the colleges you are considering if you have not filed already. Good luck!
